Several programs can help with different costs. Eligibility depends on the program and your circumstances; checking one program does not replace checking the others.
Medicare Savings Programs
State programs may help with Medicare premiums and, for some eligible people, deductibles and other cost sharing. Apply through your state. Do not rule yourself out based on an old income chart.
Extra Help for prescription costs
Extra Help assists eligible people with Part D expenses. Some people qualify automatically; others can apply through Social Security.
Medicaid and local guidance
Medicaid eligibility and benefits vary by state. A State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) counselor can help you understand available programs without selling you a plan.

Does a payment plan lower my drug costs?
Spreading payments is not a discount. Ask about assistance programs if the total cost is unaffordable.
