A CLEARER LOOK AT YOUR OPTIONS

Dental, vision and hearing: look beyond the name

Start with the care you expect to use. Then compare the services covered, the benefit limits and what you would still pay.

Reviewed September 13, 2026 · Finwell.Health

Check each type of care separately

A combined product does not mean every dental procedure, pair of glasses or hearing aid is covered in full. Read the benefit details for each category.

Timing and limits matter

Ask about waiting periods, annual maximums, deductibles and service-frequency limits. If you expect a particular procedure soon, confirm the effective date and that procedure’s rules before relying on coverage.

Compare what you already have

Bring the benefit summary from any employer or Medicare Advantage plan. Compare provider access and benefits for the services you actually expect to use, and ask how existing coverage affects payment.

Check the official details

This guide is a starting point. Product availability, eligibility, benefits, premiums, limitations and exclusions vary by policy and state. The actual policy determines coverage.
